NEXT Saturday, July 30th sees a really special piece of memorabilia go for auction in Shelbourne Park. A framed replica set of silks of A Plus Tard and Honeysuckle (below), autographed by Rachael Blackmore, Henry de Bromhead and respective grooms John Ferguson and Colman Comerford, will be auctioned at Shelbourne Park in aid of a young mum who has been diagnosed with a cancer called choriocarcinoma.

Having just given birth to her first child seven weeks earlier, 32-year old Darlene Lynch was diagnosed with this extremely rare form of cancer and continues to receive treatment.

The autographed colours will be auctioned during the Boylesports Champion Stakes card in Shelbourne Park and the money raised will go towards Darlene’s treatment.

Anyone who can’t be there on the night but wishes to make a bid can contact organiser Vinny Grennan on 086 8766040. There is also a GoFundMe page for anyone who would like to donate to this vital cause.
