A NEW entertainment facility opened at Leopardstown Racecourse just before Christmas.

Based in the former Icon Building at the Leopardstown Pavilion (but separate from the Pavilion Dining), Super Social offers visitors an opportunity to play 12 holes of high-tech mini golf, interactive darts, shuffleboards and Arena, which has a similar format to TV show The Cube.

It also has a full bar, outside terrace and 150-seater dining space.

Super Social is the brainchild of co-founders Paul Quinn and Dan Begley, who set up the indoor trampoline park Jumpzone in 2012. They are aiming Super Social mainly at companies who want to treat employees to a fun night out which is not centred around drinking.

Leopardstown Racecourse marketing manager Michelle Duffy was one of the first to try it out and told us: “We really enjoyed it. It’s more game-focussed than a traditional bar which appeals to a younger audience. There isn’t a facility like it in the area, which has a dense residential and business population, so it is ideal for groups, corporate entertainment, and it positions Leopardstown well as a hub of sport and leisure in the community.”
