CHARGE points for electric vehicles have been installed at the four racecourses run by Horse Racing Ireland.

The EV charging facilities at Fairyhouse, Leopardstown, Navan and Tipperary have been installed by ePower, following a public tender.

Victor Quinlan, Head of Environmental Sustainability at HRI, said: “It’s important for us to cater for the needs of our racegoers, so this scheme was a logical next step and aligns with our sustainability strategy objectives. We are delighted to partner with a great Irish company like ePower, to provide renewable transport solutions for racegoers, in response to an increased demand for such facilities for EV drivers in Ireland.”
