LEADING global equine science company Plusvital continue their support for Irish racing by sponsoring the featured Listed Devoy Stakes at Naas on Sunday.

Plusvital are now in their third year supporting Naas Racecourse and the Devoy Stakes has established itself as a high-quality race. Last year it was won by the Aidan O’Brien-trained Broome, who went on to secure Group 1 honours in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud.

Subsequent Ebor and Irish St Leger winner Sonnyboyliston was behind him in third and the Johnny Murtagh-trained five-year-old looks like he’s set for another fruitful campaign following his impressive seasonal debut in Saudi Arabia last month.

Plusvital has also announced a new prize for the breeder of Sunday’s race winner. They will get €500 worth of Plusvital breeding products. Ciara Watt, general manager of Plusvital, said: “This sponsorship underpins our commitment to the Irish thoroughbred industry and our valued customer base.”

Naas chairman and successful breeder Dermot Cantillon said: “We use supplements at Tinnakill House Stud in specific cases for individual horses. It’s very important that the ones we select are formulated and manufactured to the highest standards.”
