WELL done to the members of the Westmeath Foxhounds who raised over €1,000 for the farming charity ‘Embrace’ which supports Irish farming families affected by farm accidents and tragedies.

Their ‘Slippery Saddle’ fund raised the money throughout the recent hunting season.

John Fagan, who is a farmer and a hunt member, said: “Hunting would not be possible unless farmers allowed us access to their land and this really worthy charity is a way to support the rural community on which we depend on so much.

“Thank you to the farmers of Westmeath for allowing us access to their lands,” he added.
