THE Association of Irish Riding Clubs (AIRC) has announced Foran Equine as the official sponsor of the AIRC 70/80 team show jumping championships for 2025. The championship, open exclusively to riders graded RC70 and RC80, will see teams from across the country compete for a place in the final at the prestigious AIRC Festival in June.
Qualifiers will take place nationwide, beginning in April, giving grassroots riders the opportunity to showcase their skills in a team environment.
Caroline Davis, brand manager at Foran Equine, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “Foran Equine has a long-standing commitment to equestrian sport, and we are thrilled to support the AIRC 70/80 team show jumping. These events bring together riders who are passionate about their sport, and we look forward to seeing their enthusiasm, determination, and teamwork shine throughout the qualifiers and final.”
Treo Eile partnership
In another positive move, the AIRC and Treo Eile will continue their partnership to encourage and reward thoroughbreds in riding club competitions. This collaboration reflects Treo Eile’s mission to ‘connect’, ‘support’ and ‘promote’ the retraining of racehorses, showcasing the adaptability and talent of thoroughbreds beyond the racetrack.
Since launching in 2021, Treo Eile has seen a continuous increase in the number of thoroughbreds participating in AIRC events, demonstrating the breed’s versatility and ability in second careers.
The partnership will reward the highest-placed thoroughbreds at key AIRC National Championships in 2025 (see www.airc.ie for full list of events). Horses must be registered with Treo Eile to be eligible, ensuring proper recognition and tracking of thoroughbred performance.
“We’re thrilled to work with the AIRC to promote the retraining of thoroughbreds and highlight their success in riding club competitions,” said Treo Eile’s Anne O’Connor. “This partnership continues to shine a light on the many success stories of ex-racehorses finding rewarding second careers in the amateur sector.”
