A Father Ted inspired photo shoot was the order of the day recently, when Aoife McCabe and Aidan O’Reilly tied the knot.

Show jumper Aoife, yard manager at Atlantic Stables near Kilcolgan, Co Galway, and Aidan, machinery and grassland manager, were married in Ennistymon at the end of November.

Aoife told The Irish Field: “My dress was made by my granny, 30 years ago, for my mother’s wedding. That was so special to wear my mother’s wedding dress. Even more special when it had been handmade by my granny.

“We had a lot of help along the way but our photographer, Chloe Goggins, was amazing. Couldn’t recommend her enough. It was all the little things that made the day so special.

“We had the wedding by the Falls, similar to Father Ted’s music video ‘My Lovely Horse’. That was one of the reasons why we had to have the wedding in Ennistymon!”
