MONDAY marked a big day for Cheval Riding Club as the Jordanstown, North County Dublin-based club saw the sod turned for the construction of their new six-figure-sum sand arena.

Cheval was successful under the Sports Capital Programme in obtaining a grant allocation of €118,608 for the project, which will be an enormous boost to the vibrant club.

DM Groundworks Ltd and CS Sheds are authorised by the Department to undertake the work/supply the equipment on site.

Huge kudos is due to the hard working committee for their work on the new arena project which will go a long way to encourage equestrianism, improve standards and facilitate club growth.
