MANY thanks to everyone who supported the Wicklow Foxhounds’ Charity Hunt where all funds raised were donated by the hunt, and the family of the late Colm Donnelly, to the Intensive Care Unit of St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin.

Supporters and riders of all ages turned out for the charity fundraiser which honoured the memory of Colm who tragically lost his young life while working on a car at the family farm in February.

Colm was lovingly cared for by the dedicated staff at St Vincent’s where he sadly passed away from his injuries to the shock and grief of his bereaved family and his entire community in Wexford.

Leaving Certificate student Colm (18), Castletown, was the beloved son of Walter and Louise, the brother of Niamh, and a very popular student at Gorey Community School where he is sadly missed. He played rugby for his school and for Gorey Rugby Club and also played hurling and football for Kilanerin GAA Club. He loved nothing more than being out on the farm with his father.

Beautifully described as having a ‘very kind heart’ throughout his busy life, five people got the precious gift of life through organ donation after Colm’s very tragic loss.

Donations can be made, if desired, to the ICU Unit at St Vincent’s Hospital.
