Christmas engagement joy for Camilla and Ethen

CONGRATULATIONS to international event and show jumping riders, Camilla Speirs and Ethen Ahearne, who got engaged over the Christmas period. The happy couple have an almost two-year-old daughter, Tilly, who is as pony-mad as her parents.

Sad loss of Stetter

BELMONT House Stud sadly lost the great sire Stetter on Monday at the age of 26. Andrea Etter posted on social media, saying: “Our beautiful stallion Stetter, who was going on 26 years old, has made his last jump over the rainbow bridge today. Thank you, Claudia Gisler, for getting the opportunity to have Stetter here at Belmont House Stud. We will certainly miss you, old man.”

As a five-year-old, Stetter achieved fourth place at the Lanaken World Breeding Championships and accomplished results up to 1.55m for Swiss rider Claudia Gisler. Stetter is fully approved with KWPN and HSI with a four-star rating for his own performance. Among his progeny is the 1.60m jumper Wetter (Peter Wylde and Catherine Tyree, USA).
