THE historic town of Trim, Co Meath attracts visitors from all over the world but it’s the Royal Meath Show that brings out the locals in force.

The popular show, held at the Porchfields, offers what must be the best venue nationwide - in the shadow of the world famous Trim Castle with the mighty Boyne river flowing by. Last Saturday’s rain was torrential almost nationwide but come Sunday’s show day, the sun was out for the big event.

Well done to all involved in putting on a great show as usual this year.
