THE arrival of America’s Christy Cashman created a great buzz around the ringside at Dublin Horse Show on opening day for the launch of her latest book ‘The Truth About Horses’.

Christy, dressed in a stunning green gown for the occasion, had a whirlwind few days before even arriving at the RDS with a hectic schedule in Boston, USA, before braving a mini tornado to arrive at Dublin.

A philantropist, actress and novelist, Christy and her husband have owned Kildare’s beautiful Kilkea Castle since 2010. Neighbours and friends Judy Molony, Chris and Paula Hart were among the many guests who attended the event and were delighted to catch up with Christy who, in turn, was thrilled to see them, managing to have a chat with everyone in the RDS suite.

Sharing a love of horses, good picnics, walks and fun, the Harts and the Molony families are also centrally involved in the West Wicklow Foxhounds, Ireland’s only privately owned pack.

And their verdict on Christy’s new book?

“Could not put it down,’ came the quick reply – sounds like a Winner Alright!
