COLTS by Dubawi, Justify and Wootton Bassett feature in the catalogue for the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale, which was released earlier this week. 182 lots are catalogued for the sale, with the breeze to take place at Newmarket Racecourse on April 14th, followed by selling from 5.45pm on April 15th and 16th.
Futurity Trophy victor Hotazhell flew the flag for last year’s sale and his consignor, Eddie Linehan’s Lackendarra Stables, has another Too Darn Hot colt catalogued, along with two other lots. The previous year’s flagbearer, Vandeek, was sold by Roderic Kavanagh’s Glending Stables, who topped last year’s trade with a 1,000,000gns Galileo colt, and have five catalogued this time round.
Native Trail is another recent poster boy for the sale, having been sold by Norman Williamson’s Oak Tree Farm, whose 2025 trio are by Havana Grey, Wootton Bassett and St Mark’s Basilica.
The latter has his first two-year-olds this year, and other freshman sires represented in the catalogue include multiple group winner A’Ali (three lots), Group 1 performer Lope Y Fernandez (one), Phoenix Stakes victor Lucky Vega (two), champion miler Palace Pier (four), multiple Group 1 winner Space Blues (two), July Cup hero Starman (seven) and top two-year-old Supremacy (one).
