LAST weekend saw many horses both boost their Cheltenham credentials. Market Rasen didn’t necessarily play a part in any of those narratives, however there was a horse that I think will be interesting writes Page Fuller. Charisma Cat came into the Mares’ NH Flat race off the back of two convincing wins at Warwick and Southwell, and just came up short on her chase for three in a row. She got squeezed up entering the final bend, that put her on the back foot at exactly the wrong point.

The winner, Kingston Queen, dictated even fractions in front and quickened up nicely into the straight. Charisma Cat was settled and sectionals suggest she didn’t have the pace of the winner.
