RACHAEL Blackmore, Danny Mullins and Ross Coakley were among a group of professional jockeys who brought festive cheer to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool during a heartwarming visit this week.
Seven riders from the flat and jump worlds travelled to Merseyside and took time out of their schedules on Monday to hand out gifts and brighten the days of children receiving treatment on the wards.
Also in attendance were A.P. McCoy, Mick Fitzgerald, Franny Norton and Harry Davies.
The visit was part of Aintree’s longstanding partnership with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and was the first pre-Christmas visit of its kind.
Jockeys delivered presents, chatted with children, and spent time with families, creating special memories for everyone involved.
