NAAS Racecourse has announced details of its summer season series of racing and live music combined with barbecue.

The season kicks off on Wednesday evening, June 26th, with a performance by After Dark. The feature race on the card is the Listed Al Shira’aa Racing Irish EBF Naas Oaks Trial which was won in 2020 by Even So, who later triumphed in the Irish Oaks. Last year’s winner Library finished third in the Curragh classic.

Saturday afternoon, July 6th, is Naas Town Goes Racing Day. This day aims to get the community involved and will feature a barbecue, family activities, a charity mascot race, and live music from No Limits.

The final Wednesday evening event will take place on July 24th, featuring the Listed Yeomanstown Stud Irish EBF Stakes and trad band Rake The Ashes playing live after racing in the enclosure.

Niamh Byrne, marketing manager at Naas Racecourse, said: “The Summer Season is my favourite time of year here at Naas. Our caterers, Lily & Wild do an exceptional job, providing a delicious BBQ experience that truly enhances the evening.

“I highly recommend the BBQ packages for colleagues, family, or friends to enjoy a fantastic night of racing, music, and great food.”

Racing on the Wednesday evenings will begin at approximately 5.30pm, while the Saturday, July 6th event will start at approximately 2.10pm.
