THE North West circuit moved on to Fennor Camp in Bundoran on Sunday for the first time in a number of years. They were well rewarded with a big crowd, many of whom were attending the local festival weekend.

Kian McNally continued to set a searching pace at the top of the jockeys’ table and he added another four winners on the day.

Little Fiddlers is the latest star to emerge from the Finnerty stable in Roscommon and she maintained her unbeaten record with an impressive victory in the 13.2hh contest.

The winner was always travelling well from the front and quickened right away up the straight. Little Fiddlers will be short odds to follow up last year’s Dingle success next month.

Five Stone Of Lead made it a quick double for the Armagh jockey when easily landing the 10-furlong 14.2hh contest by five lengths.

The record-breaking Dingle heroine will bid for another triple crown at next month’s festival.

Kian’s treble came in the 15hh race when Living The Dream sluiced home for the Dream Team Partnership.

The Oldcastle runner-up travelled much stronger here and could be called the winner a long way from home.

The perfect four from four for Kian came in the one mile and three-furlong race when She’s Got It proved herself yet again top-drawer material when winning in tremendous style.

The tough as teak Oldcastle winner went away inside the distance for an eye-catching victory.

Biggest victory

Local jockey Patrick McGettigan from Ballyare, Co Donegal, gained one of his biggest victories to date when Shake Me took the one mile and six-furlong Bundoran Derby.

Team Browne’s winner made most of the running here and ran on strongly to beat the never nearer favourite Tommy K under Adam Grant.

The winner is now Dingle Derby-bound for the same owners who won it back in 2015 with Let’s Go. Patrick McGettigan will sign on with Johnny Murtagh next September.

Impressive

Nicola Burns continued her impressive strike rate this season when Little Chief made practically all the running to win the 14hh contest over 10 furlongs. Team Brady’s winner remains unbeaten this season and will be another hot-pot on the second day of the Dingle festival.

Jimmy Dalton has caught many shrewd eyes this season and he was on the mark when Daithi’s Dream ran out a convincing winner of the mile race.

Owned by the locally-based Gormley family, Daithi’s Dream ran on powerfully up the straight to deny Missisippi under Nina Doherty with Check Us Out back in third.
