Another Champions Weekend over where the punters slightly shaded it! Thrilling Champions Stakes will paper over the cracks of a day that’s in major decline which is a huge pity. Much better atmosphere in the Curragh which was great to see.

I was at Leopardstown Saturday. I felt it lacked atmosphere. Compared to the DRF, it was far easier to get a drink/use the facilities etc but on the day it just didn’t seem anything special. Maybe that is where flat racing is at the moment with no great interest in it?

I thought the coverage on Social Media was so poor - when it came to Cheltenham all the bloggers (paid or otherwise) were talking about it being an event not to be missed - you felt you were losing out if you were not part of it - not so with Champions weekend, nobody cared

I really enjoyed the St Leger Festival @DoncasterRaces this year, it was fantastic to be part of a wonderful atmosphere and to hear that there was an attendance of 23,339 on St Leger day is excellent news.

Fantastic first experience with runners @Laytown_Races and brilliant results for the team with Ivasecret winning, and Mokaatil running 3rd.

A unique venue, huge crowd and great atmosphere

Of the more interesting notes from the @keeneland sale. Over 34 seven figure horses have been purchased so far and of those by 24 different entities. Add that to the record strong Saratoga @Fasig Tipton sale along with the amount of new people jumping in seems very telling of the growing interest of the sport. #somegoodnews
