Because protectionism has worked so wonderfully throughout modern history!!! Have admired the Good Doctor’s achievements over the years but he has lost the plot here!

This is a scandalous article….There is no them and us, there is National Hunt racing.A proposal to not have Irish runners in Britain is stone age thinking. We ALL need to work together for a better sport, not retreat to our caves

Here’s a simple suggestion: Stop ripping people off. Create some goodwill between the general public and The Jockey Club who knows it might mean more people want to attend

Went a few years in a row and wanted to carry on but it costs far too much now. The amount it would cost you can go on holiday and watch it in a bar in the sun.

On course its great, arguably a bit too busy. It’s the accommodation and travel which kills it. I’d love to stay for a night and go out in cheltenham or even a few nights but the hotels are like £600 a night!

Lots of valid points from @kevinblake2011 But I met lots of delighted punters & racegoers in Cheltenham who’d landed five figure accums on Mullins jollies+ many had cashed out or laid El Fabiolo. Not everyone was unhappy last week with a plethora of odds-on jollies.

The Cheltenham programme is perfect, some of the races people want to get rid of have produced marvellous races over the years, shows like the Road to Cheltenham, Upping the Ante and all the previews show how popular the 4 days are, people are just viewing in different places.
