Been to it every year since the inception but Jesus, I won’t go next or near Dublin Racing Festival 2025. Bar staff who’ve never been in a bar before, never mind working in one; 40 min ATM queue; can’t get in for a piss. So poorly managed for what should be a great day out.

Left the house an hour before first race, driving from UCD area up N11. Wasn’t in and parked until after the second race started. Not one Garda to be seen managing traffic until within sight of the course. RDS would be crawling with traffic control for a mickey mouse game.

Fellas at racing festivals make me laugh, genuinely! Whinge from ATMs, to drink, to breathing space! Lads, prepare before going easy as that! You know it’s a fairly well attended event, not a sesh event. Its focus is the equine talent, not the accuracy or timing of bar staff.

The growing pains evident the last 2 years have now burst the seams… traffic control on approach to the course, bar and toilet facilities all sub par. The racing product, that was so strong is waiting a bit. Failure to react to those 2 things would be a concern.

Saturday: great crowd, facilities didn’t seem able to cope with the crowd though (bars, food, ATM, toilet queues very long). Danny was brilliant, good to see the one English horse winning.
Sunday: not as big a crowd, more comfortable. Good performances, State and Ballyburn.

Enjoyed Dublin this weekend but I always enjoy Dublin, @LeopardstownRC poorly set up for Saturdays crowd, I like a beer racing as do my pals, with 200 ft long queues for toilets and 20 mins for a beer you just don’t bother, needs fixing. Had poor feedback from O and T experience

My first time at the DRF and personally thought it was class. Bar would be slow enough now but unless you are inhaling pints that surely can’t be the biggest concern. Top racing, good viewing track and lovely atmosphere, top notch all round in my opinion.

First time I’ve come over and not the last time. Absolutely loved it! Proper racing people and so friendly

First time over there …and must say I’m impressed (apart from toilets) value for money is unbelievable and the hospitality is second to none! Probably cost me the same as one day in the Best Mate stand it has for the weekend …Cheltenham need to take note.

It’s been a wonderful day at @LeopardstownRC and thank you so much for removing the big poster by the winner’s enclosure. Trebled enjoyment of the day. A fabulous day’s racing with ideal sized crowd. It’s nice to go to a major race meeting where you feel wanted.

5th year to DRF. Guinesss is fantastic, seats/bar unbeatable, restaurants A1 …but racing has gone from quality selection of exciting races to series of Mullins schooling sessions where one is guessing at the result. Seriously reconsidering coming next year…and we are group of 8.
