RACING TV (RTV) will again produce a fully-dedicated Irish channel on December 26th, ensuring that every race at Limerick, Leopardstown and Down Royal is shown live and in their entirety.
The Irish-only output will be on FreeSports channel - available in Britain and Ireland - Sky HD (422) and Virgin TV (553).
The Irish channel will also be on RTV Extra, one of 10 channels available on this online service on December 26th (eight racecourse streams, along with the main channel and Irish-only channel).
Running from 11.30am to 4pm, and for one day only, the service will be presented by Gary O’Brien.
RTV is also covering Kempton, Wetherby, Market Rasen, Huntingdon and Wincanton on December 26th. These meetings alone add up to 35 long-distance races being staged in under four hours.
December 26th is the only day of the year when Racing TV has eight fixtures to cover.
A dedicated Irish channel was first used by Racing TV on December 26th in 2019. It was not required in 2020 as, with racing behind closed doors, a number of fixtures were rescheduled to allow a better spread of racing through the period.
