Other eyecatching lots include the 11-year-old Shadwell -bred mare Radhaadh, a daughter of Nayef in foal to Soldier’s Call, and the unraced Easter Miracle, a half-sister to Grade 1 winning chaser Miller’s Bank.

Small Fry, who finished third in a two-year-old race at Roscommon on Monday, is another interesting entry. Bidding will be live from 9am-12pm on Wednesday, 13th September. You must register in order to bid.

Oaks winner for sale

MUSKOKA, this year’s Preis der Diana (German Oaks) winner, has been entered for the Arqana Arc Sale at Saint-Cloud on Saturday, September 30th. Trained by Henk Grewe, the daughter of Sea The Moon has also won at listed and Group 3 level, and she will be sold with an entry in the following day’s Group 1 Prix de l’Opera.

Extra meeting at Tramore

TRAMORE will stage a replacement flat meeting next Wednesday, September 13th. The track lost a Saturday evening card in August due to bad weather.

Death of former champion

THE Czech-born former champion jockey of Germany, Filip Minarik, has died, aged 48. The rider suffered life-threatening injuries in a fall at Mannheim in 2020.

His widow Katja said: “We fought so hard, but in the end we lost the battle against the ever-increasing depression. We need time to realise and process what has happened.”

Breeder of Month winner

THE winner of the Connolly’s Red Mills The Irish Field Breeder of the Month award for July was John Magnier for Irish Derby winner Auguste Rodin.

ICF competition winner

EILISH Ryan from Dundrum in Co Tipperary won our Irish Champions Festival competition in last week’s edition. She wins a VIP package for two at Leopardstown and the Curragh this weekend.

THE catalogue for the Tattersalls Online September Sale has been published featuring a record number of 89 entries for the auction which takes place on September 13th-14th. The catalogue contains 72 horses in/out of training, eight yearlings, five broodmares, and three stores as well as a breeding right to Profitable. The 64 horses in training are headlined by high-class performer Lord Protector from Ralph Beckett’s yard. A five-time winner over a mile to 10 furlongs on the flat, he has a current Timeform rating of 105.
