JOSEPH O'Brien current hot run of form continued into Germany on Sunday when he sent Al Riffa to contest the Group 1
Westminster 134th Grosser Preis von Berlin at Hoppegarten and the son of Woottton Bassett recorded his second Group 1 success winning by five lengths under Dylan Browne McMonagle.
Joseph was on hand to see the four-year-old, last seen running second to City Of Troy in the Eclipse, hit the front under Browne McMonagle over a furlong and half out and from there, he was never in danger, racing to a five length success from Narrativo.
O'Brien said to German media: "It's been a wonderful day here and Al Riffa put a great performance and we are very proud of him and Dylan gave the horse a fantastic ride and we've had a great day.
"He's had a busy season so far so he will have a little rest and be prepared for the Prix de L'Arc."
