1.30 Trainor Stone And Tile Irish EBF Maiden 1m 1f

The Natalia Lupini-trained Deetee can win for race sponsor Peter Trainor. Fifth on his introduction over a mile at this track last month, the son of Masar should benefit from the additional furlong here. Having shown signs of greenness when coming off the bridle on his debut, the colt should know his job on this occasion.

Shackleton was turned over at odds-on at Tipperary last time but had shaped with plenty of promise when second at Leopardstown in August. A reproduction of that earlier run would see the Aidan O’Brien-trained colt go very close.

SELECTION: DEETEE

Next best: Shackleton

2.05 Fitzpatricks Mercedes-Benz Irish EBF Maiden 7f

Group 2 Champagne Stakes third Aftermath is difficult to oppose, reverting to maiden company. Having made a pleasing introduction when runner-up at Newbury in August, the Aidan O’Brien-trained colt was deemed good enough to step up in grade last time. Justifying that decision by picking up blacktype, he should open his account now.

Runner-up in both outings to date, Storm Piece rates a big danger. The Ger Lyons-trained colt was second over course and distance last month, before again taking minor honours at Punchestown recently.

SELECTION: AFTERMATH

2.40 Weld Park Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) 7f

Stepping up to seven furlongs for the first time should see Heavens Gate return to winning ways. A maiden winner over a furlong less earlier in the year, the daughter of Churchill then ran a huge race when third in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot. Bred to appreciate further, connections have opted to move up in trip at this point of her career.

Narrowly denied in a Group 2 over course and distance last month, the Jessica Harrington-trained Baravara holds strong claims. A maiden winner on soft ground, the daughter of Calyx won’t have any issues if the rain arrives.

SELECTION: HEAVENS GATE

Next best: Barnavara

3.15 SBK Renaissance Stakes (Group 3) 6f

Improving three-year-old My Mate Alfie might be able to keep this prize at home. A close up third in the Phoenix Sprint Stakes on his penultimate start, the Ger Lyons-trained gelding carried top-weight when landing the Bold Lad over course and distance earlier this month. From a nice draw, the son of Dark Angel can strike again.

Spycatcher should appreciate this easier task having struggled in the Group 1 Betfair Sprint Stakes last time. A proven performer at a slightly higher level than this, the Karl Burke-trained six-year-old is a definite contender.

SELECTION: MY MATE ALFIE

3.50 Lavazza Nursery Handicap 7f

Recent Listowel runner-up The Marty Party is almost impossible to oppose off a mark of 66.

Due to go up 14lb following his narrow defeat in a rated race at the Co Kerry track, the Joseph O’Brien-trained colt is able to race off his old mark in this ordinary nursery. Provided that the race doesn’t come too soon, he should gain a second career win.

Moonhall Church, well supported when landing a Fairyhouse claimer on Monday, should again be competitive. Trainer Alan McIntyre has his string in excellent form at present and this daughter of Churchill is unlikely to be far away.

SELECTION: THE MARTY PARTY

4.25 Friends Of The

(Premier Handicap) 2m 170y

A staying on fourth in a similar grade at Leopardstown on Champions Weekend, Nurburgring can claim another valuable prize. Winner of the Galway hurdle earlier in the year, the Joseph O’Brien-trained four-year-old should stay this trip and will handle any further rain that falls. Provided he gets luck in running, the gelding is sure to be involved.

Recent Newmarket winner Sixandahalf has to be a contender under a 7lb penalty. The Gavin Cromwell-trained filly was doing her best work in the closing stages of that aforementioned race so is another that should be well suited to a stamina test.

SELECTION: NURBURGRING

5.00 Bord Na Mona Recycling Rated Race 7f

The Paddy Twomey-trained Procrastinate has the potential to be a bit better than this class. Winner of his only start to date, the form of that race has received a number of subsequent boosts from the placed horses. Although absent since March, the colt is sure to be fit and ready coming from these quarters.

Elinor Dashwood blew her chance when slowly away at Fairyhouse on Monday but caught the eye with her finishing effort. If able to get away on terms on this occasion, the Ado McGuinness-trained filly should be more competitive.

SELECTION: PROCRASTINATE

Next best: Elinor Dashwood

5.30 SBK Maiden 1m 2f

Bard Of Avon should be difficult to beat if able to replicate his recent fourth placed finish over course and distance. Although subsequently beaten at Dundalk, the Joseph O’Brien-trained colt warrants another chance now that he reverts to turf. With the form of his previous run here having worked out nicely, the son of Galileo looks the one to be on.

Navan runner-up Dahab, who boasts and identical official rating to Bard Of Avon, looks a real threat. Having shown promise when fifth at Leopardstown on his previous run, the gelding backed that up with a solid effort at the Co Meath track.

SELECTION: BARD OF AVON

Next best: Dahab
