11.52 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase 2m

A Law Of Her Own has run well on her three starts over fences, placing at Grade 3 and listed level. The drop back in trip should suit her and Air Drop, who was pitched at Grade 3 level last time and appeared to have every chance when falling at the penultimate fence.

Enjoy The Dream has been on a downward curve since her Grade 2 hurdle win last spring, and last month’s chase debut wasn’t inspiring. Splashing Out didn’t amount to much on her chase debut either, but it was her first start in 188 days and her dam won a Grade 3 chase.

Listed-winning hurdler Nara was well-supported on her first attempt over fences, but fell five out and should come on from that. Kilbarry Saint proved progressive over hurdles last season, placing in a Grade 2, but may prefer heavy ground.

Some mixed form, which makes me lean towards the more unexposed. Tell Nobody Nothing must have schooled well over fences if connections elected to send him chasing after three good runs over hurdles.

The appropriately named mare The Great Unknown is also intriguing, having come within a length of making a winning chase debut last month. Hardy Diamond, Killinure Lass and Noble Talent are others to have shown promise chasing.

Noble Blue ran one of his best races when second in this last year, but that was on heavy ground and Brucejack’s career-best at the Punchestown Festival came over a marathon trip on soft ground, plus he seems to improve later in the season.

A longer trip would also suit Driscolls Hill, who won a point-to-point maiden last year. Fellow point winner Due Course is proven over this sort of trip.

SELECTION: TELL NOBODY NOTHING

Last year’s winning trainer John Ryan is responsible for half of today’s field and his best chance appears to be Gaelic Arc, who was second in a Grade 3 novice chase last month.

Stablemate Grange Walk, the winner of a Grade B chase over course and distance, hasn’t been in the same form for over a year, while The Little Yank is winless since September 2022.

The Big Chap’s form is very in and out, having won a valuable chase last month, but was tailed off in a Grade 2 a week ago. Railway Hurricane was third behind him at Limerick, but he hasn’t won over today’s trip in four years.

SELECTION: GAELIC ARC

Casheldale Lad has been absent since his debut win over a mile and one furlong last September, with the runner-up having since reached a rating of 96.

Cyrus Field’s pedigree appeals as a half-brother to pricey point-to-pointer O’Moore Park, while Dream Diamond is a half-brother to Graded performer Weveallbeencaught, but did disappoint when well-supported on debut in a point-to-point. Kazakh D’Arthel went close on hurdle debut, but was withdrawn after bolting to the start next time and pulled up last time after going off too fast.

Stablemate Le Bugiste is an interesting recruit, having won over staying trips on the flat in France. Status Green is another intriguing flat winner, with an in-form jockey aboard.

Madam Jess took a big step forward on her second start to finish third in a bumper last month, and it’s interesting that connections have decided to go hurdling after that promise.

The most recent of Addragoole’s four seconds came behind £120,000 buy Sporting Glory, with former Paul Nicholls-trainee Bridie’s Beau almost 50 lengths behind him that day, despite being relatively well-supported.

Bayrann showed promise in bumpers, while I Ballyadam Moon placed in what looked three modest point-to-points.

Jersey Des Brosses fetched £370,000 after his debut second between the flags, and should prefer hurdling and chasing to bumpers. Impressive point winner Workahead may need the run today, that sole start having come last January.

But What may also improve for the run, while fitness works in the favour of fellow bumper winner Blaze The Way.

He was a well-beaten third on his seasonal return, but must be well-regarded to have made his hurdle debut in a Grade 2, though he pulled up that day.

Sheriffhill was sent off favourite on debut between the flags and, though he pulled up, he’s a full-brother to a Grade 3 winner over hurdles and fences. Rock My Haarth also has a nice pedigree.

Glen Kiln ran in some smart races last season, while Beau Walking placed on all his starts last season and will come on from last month’s effort. Disco Dancer ran well last time, when hampered by a loose horse.

Run For Harry’s back-to-back wins and That’s About Right’s eight-length success may now have them at too high a mark, with that yet to be seen for Marlpark

A poor affair, and hard to find much promise in it, with most contenders well-beaten recently.

Delias Pet is one of the exceptions, but has a 7lb penalty to contend with, while Jetaway To Getaway has been dropped since her most encouraging run under rules.

Realtin Lonrach’s most encouraging effort came in May and last month’s return was promising.

Bowgate Street is consistent and game, but may not be up to defying her latest rise in the ratings.

Last month’s sixth over course and distance was one of Colleen Danu’s best, her first for today’s stable, and her first run since December.

Ballycommon Chapel went close the last twice, but those efforts came over two miles, while It’s Time Again ran her best race in a long time last month.

Others to have shown promise are Café Del Mar, Hurricane Honey, Letters To Juliet, Whatyouwant and Yorkshire Escape.
