IT is entirely fitting that the 2020 flat season will draw to a close at Naas this afternoon in the midst of an extraordinary period which has served up a season like no other.

Naas staged the first flat fixture of the season all the way back in March which took place just a day before the country went into lockdown. The track then played host to racing’s return on June 8th and in a neat piece of symmetry it now it provides the stage upon which turf flat racing in Ireland will sign off for 2020.
