JUST one horse was sold at last Saturday’s inaugural Goffs Qipco British Champions Day Sale at Ascot but it was a good one as the sprinter Rogue Lightning changed hands for £1 million.

Trained by Tom Clover, Rogue Lightning (pictured) is a three-year-old gelding by Kodiac. Bred by Airlie Stud, he was an 80,000gns yearling but only made 42,000gns at the breeze-ups when bought by The Rogues Gallery.
