SIX horses were sold at last Sunday’s ThoroughBid online auction for a total of just over £70,000.

The top lot was the five-year-old point-to-pointer Sprucefrontiers who was sold by handler Mary O’Connor to Kim Bailey for £25,000. A son of Sans Frontieres, the gelding finished third of 12 on his sole start at Dromahane last month.

Trainer Pat Doyle sold the six-year-old Who’s Houdini for £22,000 to a syndicate who have had horses in training previously with Shark Hanlon. The Beat Hollow gelding looked a likely winner when falling at the final fence at Monksgrange last month.

Of the 16 unsold lots, Henry de Bromhead’s listed hurdle race winner Atlantic Fairy reached £48,000 and a two-year-old colt by El Kabeir consigned by Gerald Moynan was unsold at £52,500.
