THERE are 140 lots catalogued for the Tattersalls Online June Sale, which takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, June 5th and 6th.

The sale features the second renewal of the online breeze-up session, which comprises 51 breeze-up entries, as well as 71 flat and National Hunt horses in and out of training, eight broodmares, five point-to-pointers, four stores and one yearling.

A total of 51 two-year-olds are catalogued for the breeze-up session. They all breezed prior to the sale at Chelmsford City and Dundalk Stadium, and each will be offered with a pre-sale five-stage veterinary certificate. The breeze-up footage and timings for all lots have been recorded and are available on the Tattersalls Online website.

There are 71 horses in and out of training to go under the virtual hammer. Among them is classy National Hunt performer Vina Ardanza, consigned by Gordon Elliott’s Cullentra House Stables. The consistent son of Califet is a winner over hurdles and fences and placed in the Grade 1 Top Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree and the Grade 1 Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown.

Another highlight is Dragon Icon, a four-year-old colt by Lope De Vega who is offered with a current BHA rating of 90 by Roger Varian’s Carlburg Stables. A dual winner from seven furlongs to a mile, he is out of champion Scandinavian filly Matauri Pearl, making him a full-brother to the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf winner Aunt Pearl.

Baroda Stud will offer a draft of five lots which includes the 87-rated colt Respectful, a half-brother to Group 3 winner Doctor Geoff and Group 2-placed Show Respect. The draft also features an unraced daughter of Galileo, who is out of Group 3 winner and dual Group 1-placed Wind Chimes.

Donnacha O’Brien’s Bawnmore Stables present four lots including Huxley, a three-year-old son of Galileo with a current rating of 82, who is a half-brother to Cloth Of Stars. O’Brien also sells Starliner, an 84-rated son of Showcasing, whose dam is a half-sister to Group 1 French 2000 Guineas winner Karakonite.William Haggas’ Somerville Lodge consign one of four horses in the sale, which will be offered on behalf of Rabbah Bloodstock. The 75-rated Mono River placed second on his two most recent starts over six furlongs. The three-year-old son of Zarak is out of Listed Empress Stakes third Imperialistic Diva and is a half-brother to Group 3 winner Queen Of Bermuda.

There are five point-to-pointers on offer. Cormac Doyle’s Monbeg Stables consigns two lots, led by four-year-old filly Kiara Du Mazet, who placed third in the four-year-old mares’ maiden on only her second start at Inchydoney on May 26th. Paddy Turley’s Kingsfield Stud consigns Myleno, a six-year-old son of Martaline who is a winner of two point-to-points, most recently at Taylorstown on May 18th.

Breeding prospects

There are eight broodmares on offer, including two with foals at foot.

Barton Sales consigns two mares including Chamber Maid, a daughter of Nathaniel who is a sibling to Group 2 performers The Happy Prince and Ziegfied, offered in foal to up and coming sire Earthlight.

Culworth Grounds Farm will offer Inca Queen, a half-sister to Group 3 Jebel Ali Mile winner Fanaar, who is in foal to resident stallion El Caballo. Mares are also offered in foal to King Of Change and Lope Y Fernandez. The sale features consignments from leading trainers and stud farms from Britain and Ireland including Marco Botti, Simon and Ed Crisford, Tom Dascombe, Harry Fry, Jessica Harrington, Charlie Hills, James Horton, Hyde Park Stud, J&N Bloodstock, David Menuisier, New England Stud, San Antone Lodge, George Scott, James Tate, Urloxhey Stables, Ed Walker, Ian Williams and WH Bloodstock.

Buyers are requested to join the sale before bidding starts at noon on Wednesday. Bidding on the first lot closes from noon on Thursday.
