GODOLPHIN, Juddmonte Farms and Shadwell Estates have 81 lots catalogued between them in the Tattersalls July Sale.

Taking place from July 9th to 11th, the sale will feature 917 lots, including 89 broodmares in foal to sires such as Blue Point, Camelot, Galiway, Havana Grey, Kingman, Make Believe, Mehmas, No Nay Never, Showcasing, Starspangledbanner, Teofilo and Territories. The July Sale will offer the first chance to secure mares in foal to new sires like Baaeed, Blackbeard, Native Trail and Shaquille.

A record-breaking renewal in 2022 was followed by a bigger catalogue last summer, which produced a marginal increase in turnover, while the average price dropped by 8% to 29,592gns. The median held steady at 15,000gns, which along with a strong clearance rate of 90%.

BBA Ireland signed for last year’s two highest priced lots, with agents Michael Donohoe and Eamon Reilly each securing fillies by the late, great Galileo from WH Bloodstock and the Castlebridge Consignment. BBA’s honour roll of Group 1 producers bought at the July Sale includes the dams of Golden Horde (14,000gns), National Defense (80,000gns) and Ten Sovereigns (65,000gns). Tally-Ho Stud is another who has enjoyed great success there, sourcing the dams of top-flight winners Campanelle (39,000gns), Desert Encounter (48,000gns) and Fairyland (32,000gns).

Last year’s Group 1 Haydock Sprint Cup winner Regional was sourced at this sale for just 3,500gns.
