ROBYN Moran wasn’t prepared to settle for second in the Nutriscience-sponsored 1.20m class on Sunday morning at Killossery, instead she powered to victory with the seven-year-old Fortside Trend.

The pair posted a second round time of 34.63 to head proceedings in the 24-strong competition. By Future Trend the gelding is out of the German-bred Lisa (WESF), by Landino.

Amateur rider Lisa Marie Dolly and her own Newgrange Lady (Mackenranney Diamond x NC Amiro) took second place with their double-clear round in 35.48.

Young rider Aisling McGuiness riding Kilderry’s Joint Venture (Russel x Cruising) finished third in 42.59, while Ailsa Sexton and Sparky Lad (Ringfort Cruise x Basil III Masterpiece VII) were fourth in 47.47.

Junior Seamus Hennessy rode the eight-year-old Ballynoe Clinton Jack (Clinton Jack x Ars Vivendi) into fifth place in 47.79, and Edward Doyle completed the line-up in sixth aboard Lisa Cawley’s Chacco Bay (Chacco Blue x Cruising).

Meanwhile, in the morning’s other class, the Ringwood Construction 1.10m, Janni Sjostrand took victory with the gelding Imagine All The People, posting a second round time of 48.74, well ahead of closest rivals and runners-up Anna Sheridan with Coldwinter Cailin Cruise (Ringfort Cruise x Glencarn Girl) in 50.20.

Seamus Hennessy was third on the five-year-old Ballynoe Ronnoco Tyson (Tyson x Indoctro) in 58.36, while Kilossery’s resident rider Sara Glynn rode her own six-year-old mare Granny Jean’s Unicorn (Jack Of Diamonds x Touchdown) into fourth as the fastest with four-faults.

Jenny Doran took fifth place riding Horseplay Clover Star (Captain Clover x Puissance), and Davina Gray with Balief Cover (Boherdeal Clover x Orbis) were sixth.

Win for Griffin

Saturday’s 1.30m at the venue was won by Barry Griffin riding his own eight-year-old mare SBH Diamond In The Rough (Diamond Roller x Metropole). They posted a double clear round in 38.21 to take the top spot.

Edward Doyle occupied second and third place aboard the Lisa Cawley-owned duo of Flexability (Flex A Bill x Diamond Lad) and Chacco Bay (Chacco-Blue x Cruising).

Young rider Liam Hayes and ESI Notorious (Singulord Joter x Landetto) slotted into fourth, while Shauna Heslin riding the eight-year-old Katesbridge Arabella (S Creevagh Ferro x Cavalier Royale) took fifth and Edward Doyle with Renkum A Toast (Cheers Cassini x Jalisco B) finished in sixth.
