HEADFORD Gymkhana provided a family fun day out last Sunday in Co Galway. A dog show, fun fair and classes for newcomers right up to a 1.35m Grand Prix meant everyone was catered for.

Winner of the 1.35m Derryronane Stud Connaught Grand Prix, with a decent prize fund of €2,500, was Stephen Gibbons from Claremorris riding Caroline O’Sullivan’s Coolisheal Lance, ahead of pony rider James Derwin (Amos L Z) in second and Gary Dooley (OCS Tolan) in third.
