JUNIOR rider Marta Hughes Bravo made it two for two for the Hughes Bravo family when she won the Forever Equestrian-sponsored 1.20m two-phase Cavan Equestrian Centre, riding her mother Marion’s Miss Belgium III (Der Senaat III - Indoctro).
A total of 39 combinations went to post, of these 20 kept a clean sheet in round one to progress to the second round.
Hughes Bravo’s time of 30.37 gave her a decisive win ahead of closest rival Nicole Keshaw riding Lisa Rosbotham’s Novellent (Valent x Zeoliet). Kershaw’s time of 34.12 made a winning margin of almost four seconds for Hughes Bravo.
Third place went to Nicholas Butler with Patricia Nicholson’s Pacco Lion (Pacino x Errigal Flight) in 34.30. Fourth was Johanna Sixt riding Sandra Duffy’s seven-year-old Castlebridge Metro Du Carel (Metropole x Harlequin Du Carel).
Mikey Pender and another seven-year-old, this time by Sheikh IT, out of Cheryl CH, by Chameur, slotted into fifth, while Cornelius Brennan and Escarda U (Singulord Jot x Carthago) finished sixth.
