MEADOWBRANCH Equine Therapy sponsored Sunday morning’s 1.20m grand final and it was Lisa Rosbotham’s Novellent (Valent x Zeoliet), ridden by Nicole Kershaw, who claimed the win.

A total of 37 combinations lined out for the class and of these, 15 left all the fences up in round one to progress to the decider. Eight riders incurred four faults for having a single fence down, while eight more had two down for eight faults.

Kershaw proved fastest of the bunch when she guided Novellent through the finish in a time of 32.22. Suzanne Posnett and her own Maxim Van Overis Z (Machno Carwyn x Lord Z) came closest to catching them, stopping the clock at 32.49.

The Kershaw/Rosbotham duo again featured in third place when their other mount by Valent, Miss Valent (Valent x John Henry) crossed the finish line in 33.75.

Junior rider Laura Heaney riding Poshes Legacy (Dignified Van’t Zorgvliet x Too Posh) took fourth place, while Francis Connors and Michael Hayden’s seven-year-old Primo Aliboo Blue (Chacco Blue x Roc USA) were fifth.

The sixth and final place went to Junior rider Saoirse Kenny and the seven-year-old Christiano (Christian x Lord Z).

The 1.10m Championship Final went to junior rider Ben Crawford riding Easy Alligator Lady (Alligator Fontaine x Easy Lift) when they stopped the clock at 27.99, fastest of the 10 combinations that produced a double-clear round.

Trudie Hermione McCoosh and the six-year-old TMSH Quality Assured (OBOS Quality x Clover Hill) took second place in 28.11.

Suzanne Posnett rode her own Dutch-bred Karmijn (Elmero x Burggraaf) into third place in 29.32. Lara Dabbagh and her own eight-year-old mare Con Louie were fourth in 29.69. Fifth went to Ronya Benson riding Be Good, while Denise Hopkins and MD Sandy Hill Princess Mia were sixth.
