GLENAMADDY Equestrian Centre played host to the Connaught Show Jumping Amateur Autumn Classic last Sunday, with good numbers being recorded in each class.

Winner of the TRI Welcome Stakes including Sports Member Double Clear Challenge was A category rider Karen Boylan and Kane Flight, when they were fastest of 12 double clears in 27.49 seconds. Marie Molloy (A) was less than a second behind aboard Donnard Melody in 27.82.

Catherine Egan and the eight-year-old Pablo P stopped the clock in 28.83 for third, ahead of Andrea Doorly and Hold On Harry in 29.27. Slotting into fifth place was Shauna Wilson (A) and Nb-Ursina, clear in 29.41, while in sixth was Marie-Claire Rogers (A) and Eris m2s, who kept all the poles in place in 29.67.

A total of 38 combinations lined out for the Gud Gut Power and Speed and Equine Warehouse two-phase class. Claiming victory was Finn Reynolds (A) and the six-year-old Technical Tom, when clear in 21.68 seconds. Reynolds was chased home by Louise Craig [AA] and the eight-year-old Cherry Wine, clear in 22.38.

Top six

Vanessa Sweeney (A) and Woodbank Clover, kept all the poles in place in 22.46 for third. A clear from Diarmaid Lang [AA] and Globetrotter saw them take fourth, ahead of Stephanie Forde (AA), clear in 22.50. Completing the top six was Derrick Burke (AA) and Tyreda Chip (0/0) 23.47.

The Jennifer Gregg Cullen Memorial Grand Prix, which was sponsored by KC Electrical, saw 34 going to post and, from those, 11 proceeded to the jump-off. Leading the victory lap was Nathan Kenny (AA) and Lachain Princess, when they stopped the clock in 35.23. Finn Reynolds was back in the line-up, taking second place with Technical Tom, when they galloped home in 36.32.

Cora Horan (AA) and Coronado took third, when they stopped the clock in 36.41. Catherine Egan (A) and Pablo P added to their haul, when they slotted into fourth with a clear in 36.83. Little divided the next placing, as Louise Craig (AA) and Toberdanes Floras Motion took fifth (0/0 36.98), while in sixth was Shauna Wilson (A) and Omard Hannah (0/0 37.05).
