The SJI Summer Series continued last weekend at Cavan Equestrian with prizes being split between the senior, junior, amateur and sportsman ranks.

In the 1.30m it was Nicole Kershaw and the seven-year-old BP Elvandas who took the win. It was a good outing for Kershaw as she also took the win in the 1.35m Grand Prix with the eight-year-old Fury.

Peter Smyth and O Killaloe were fractions behind when clear in 32.80. Sean Kavanagh and the seven-year-old Castlebridge Logan also maintained a clean sheet, crossing the line in 33.93 for third.

A clear from Robert Harrison and CES Wicked Contender in 34.67 saw him take fourth, ahead of young rider Charlotte Harding and King Diamond (36.13). Completing the top six was Clem McMahon and the six year-old Carneyhaugh Unison (36.19).

1.20m

Kershaw was back in the ribbons to take the win in the Hartog 1.20m division. Riding Lisa Rosbotham’s Novellent, she delivered the winning clear in 31.53. Almost a second behind was junior young rider Lauren Murphy and J’Adore, clear in 32.44.

Robert Harrison returned to take third place with Niamh Satchwell’s eight-year-old Snow Lady, (32.75), ahead of Suzanne Posnett and Maxim Van Overis Z (33.17). Charlotte Harding took another fifth place finish, this time with RJC Second Bet while in sixth was Corinne Hyde and Gin Lizzie.

1.10m

Amateur rider Kevin O’Reilly (AA) won the 1.10m division when delivering a clear with Furore in 38.22. One second behind was Ava Stubbs and Tullyhill Lucy Diamond, clear in 39.22. Junior rider Joshua Joyce opted for the longer lines with Drumneath Jack Jones, crossing the line clear in 40.72 for third.

Fourth was Mark McCrory and the six-year-old Garfield De Muze Z (44.99). Emmet McCourt and Ringmackilory Alannah were fifth (45.30), ahead of Lisa Rosbotham and Erico (45.84).
