THE 92 five-year-olds had to work hard to earn their qualifying places for Dublin, jumping three rounds at Barnadown on Wednesday morning.

Just five combinations kept a clean sheet though all three rounds, they were HHS Vilamoura (Quite Capitol II - Beach Ball) and Carl Webb, BP Tiny Dancer (Plot Blue - Concorde) with Niamh McEvoy, ESI Nixon (Dakar VDL - Simba) ridden by Gemma Phelan, Kilcorig Leonidas (Womanizer - KIlcorig Little Meeka) and Luke Campbell and Gemma Phelan with her second mount Coolishal (Presidential Ball - Charlie’s Midnight Mist - HHS BR Charlton).

Third round

Four-faulters from the third round accounted for the remaining seven places on offer. They were Casallco Aurora (Casallco - Limlight Lady), ridden by Vincent Byrne, Royal Goldman (Royal Concorde - Clover Flush) and Tom Hearne, the Dutch-bred Magic Girl (Malibu TN - Padinus) with Darren Hopkinsd aboard, Trendy Caruso Heartbreaker (Captain Caruso - Womanizer) and Shane Goggins, Max The Outlaw (Ard VDL Douglas - Lux Z) with Daniel J O’Sullivan, Nana Della Caccia UNIRE (Chacco Blue - Quaprice Bois Margot) and Daren Hopkins and lastly, MT Callisto (Zuidam - Lux Z), ridden by Shaunagh Thomson.
