I PICKED up my love of horses from my father Peter, who showed and competed horses himself, but died suddenly at a very young age. As there was one pony left when he passed, I still like to think he influenced my passion for horses. That pony kept us interested until we were motivated to do more on our own.

I’m the caretaker and farm manager at the fabulous and historical Glenmore Estate. I’ve helped organise our local Moygownagh Hunt, run by the North Mayo Harriers, with John McGuinness and Michael Regan, when the front of the house and grounds were used for refreshments and hunting.
