THERE are many vendors in this week’s Goresbridge Go For Gold sale who have multiple lots catalogued including Brandon View Stud who have four, nicely-spaced out three-year-old Irish Sport Horse geldings entered, including the home-bred Lot 62.

This unnamed bay by Pointilliste is out of the OBOS Quality 004 mare CSF Quality Choice, a half-sister to the Aldatus Z gelding Wilywonty (1.45m) and the Cruising mare CSF Whiterock Cruise (1.40m). This is also the family of Shannon View Diamond (1.40m). Lot 32 is by OBOS Quality 004’s son Lagans OBOS Quality out of a Vriend half-sister to the OBOS Quality 004 gelding Fernhill Quality Street (CCI5*-L), the Bolivar gelding Cuba Libre (1.60m) and the Royal Concorde gelding Cuffesgrange Royal Exchange (CCI3*-S). Lot 82, another by Pointilliste, is out of the Master Imp mare Clifden Imp, a full-sister to Monart Masterpiece (CCI4*-L) from the family of Grovine de Reve (CCI5*-L) and Sarco Lux Hill (1.50m).

Selling with H&J Sporthorses, Brandon View consigns Clashagad Prince (Lot 42), an ISH gelding by Ganesh Hero Z out of an Olympic Lux mare, who comes from the family of Cruise Du Carel (1.40m). Among the rest of the H&J Sporthorses’ draft is the Zangersheide gelding Google Z (Lot 53), a grey Grandorado TN half-brother to the Chaman gelding Colman Z (1.40m) out of a Cicero Z van Paemel half-sister to the Burggraaf gelding Now Or Never (1.60m). MMG Candy de Venu (Lot 83) is a flashy chestnut gelding by Sligo Candy Boy.

Meath draft

A five-horse draft from Co Meath starts with Virginia Considine’s unnamed grey ISH gelding by Dignified van’t Zorgvliet (Lot 39) from the family of Carlingsford Fiction (1.40m). The first of four lots consigned by Trade Horse Ltd is Lilw Dun Cal (Lot 49), a dun gelding by Grand Mariner from the family of Santa Maria (1.60m). Cornascriebe Lockdown (Lot 69) is an ISH gelding by Orestus from the family of MHS Going Global (CSI5*).

The Quigleys, Thomas and Austin, are selling five lots between them, all ISH geldings. CFH Vivendi Cornet (Lot 66), by HHS Cornet, is a full-sister to the up-and-coming CFH Cornet Vivendi (a graduate of last year’s sale) and a half-brother to the Querlybet Hero gelding Vivendi Hero (CCI4*-S). Rossdarragh Spartan (Lot 86) is a Watermill Swatch half-brother to the Tullibards Bennys Legacy gelding Rossdarragh Nero (CCI4*-S).

Among other lots to catch the eye is Equine Evolve and Arion Ltd’s Selle Francais gelding Kilim de la Vigne (Lot 25), a Jarnac half-brother to the Black Jack gelding Black Pearl Z (CCI4*-S) and from the family of Oregon de la Vigne (CCI5*-L). Niall O’Doherty sells Lot 34, a chesnut Vittorio gelding from the family of First Mate (CCI5*-L), Buccaneer (CCI4*-L), etcetera, and Lot 54, a grey Vivant van de Heffinck gelding out of an own-sister to One Cool Cruise (1.40m). Kedrah House Stud has been breeding a lot of winners on the racecourse recently and here sells an unnamed Courage II gelding (Lot 35) from the successful sport horse family of Carling King (1.60m).

On paper, the pick of the three-horse draft from the Skelton family is Joe’s Borris Candy Girl (Lot 78), a chesnut Sligo Candy Boy filly out of a full-sister to Quality Old Joker (1.60m). George Campbell’s home-bred Nesh C (Lot 45) is a Ganesh Hero Z filly out of a Pacino full-sister to Hilton Pacifico (1.60m), who is also a half-sister to the Ard VDL Douglas gelding Master Douglas (CCI4*-S). The Kellihers sell two chesnut geldings – Caraghs Bonbon (Lot 55), by Sibon W, and Caraghs Ricky Semilly (Lot 85), by Andiamo Semilly - who come from the family of Ballingowan Zeal (CCI4*-S) and Ringwood Zebo (1.40m).
