IRELAND has traditionally boasted a very high standard in the Young Rider section and if this year’s RDS qualifier results are anything to go by, the standard has moved up to a new level. The team gold medal-winning performance of the country’s young riders at the recent European Championships, and on home soil in the National Grands Prix, has been outstanding. Although our young riders bring home gold medals, to win at Dublin Horse Show is equally as important. As in previous years, the RDS qualifiers came down to the wire and these riders will be looking to be crowned Champion at Dublin Horse Show.

In the 1.35m/1.40m division, 16 combinations booked their place to Dublin and each one of those combinations demonstrated excellent form over the last 12 months. Clare’s Rhys Williams, who has an impressive record, was first to book his ticket at Sligo’s Ard Chuain with Cowboy Magic. Alex Finey and MHS Style also booked their place at the opening round.
