TWO beautiful Irish Draughts patrolled the streets of Dublin on St Patrick’s Day. The six-year-old geldings, Tadhg and Donnacha, joined An Garda Síochána last year as five-year-olds and completed their Mounted Unit training in January of this year.

For Tadhg, St Patrick’s Day marked his first outing as an official member of An Garda Síochána. Donnacha has slightly more experience, having previously patrolled major crowds at football matches held in the Aviva Stadium.
