THE Irish Pony Club season continues with the annual raceday at The Curragh on Sunday next, September 29th, when 11 members will take part in the exhibition race after the last, while the Carbery Branch is performing its musical ride during the fourth and fifth races.

Those riding in the exhibition race, having attended a training day at the Racing Academy and Centre of Education (RACE) in Kildare last month, are Jack Archdeacon (Duhallow), Anna Boucher (Bray), Kate Collins (Newcastle Lyons), Erin Dowling (Kildare), Lulu Fitzsimons (Bray), Khushi L’Hostis (United), Emily Machen (Muskerry), Emily Mulcahy (United), Katie Murphy (Scarteen), Mia Perry (North Kilkenny) and Sasha Popova (Muskerry).

Last year, the race was won by the Kildares’ Ellie Dillon riding OLS Inis Flaith.
