Bandon Show back on track for May 21st
BANDON Agricultural Show announceed this week that they are back in action after a three year absence. The show traditionally takes place on the second last Sunday in May which falls on May 21st this year. The event will be held at the Society Showgrounds, Bandon, and all are most welcome to come along and join in the fun.
Bandon Show is regarded as one of the top shows in the Munster area and has become the major showcase for exhibitors throughout the Munster region and beyond. Many of the top exhibitors say that if they win at Bandon, they will do well for the year.
There are many classes included in the Ridden Horses, Young Horses, Broodmares and Foal Sections, not forgetting all the usual Pony Classes. There will be four Rings in the Pony Section and three in the Horse Section.
Bandon Show is also being run under the I.S.A. Super Show Platform and entries are now open on their website (www.bandonshow.com).
Included in the on-line schedule are I.S.A. Qualifiers for the Ardrahan Ridden Hunter, Tullow Racehorse to Riding Horse as well as numerous youngstock All-Ireland Qualifiers.
ISA Pre-Show Season Clinic on April 15th
THE Irish Shows Association is organising a Pre-Show Season Clinic in preparation for upcoming Shows. The clinic will be run by Philip and Philippa Scott at Northbrook Farm, Kilconnell, Ballinasloe on Saturday, April 15th, starting at noon.
The clinic will include an introduction to showing, flatwork, ring craft, turnout tips, tack, dress code, and general information covering Conformation, Presenting in-hand, Ridden Hunters, Cobs, Riding Horses, Racehorse to Riding Horse.
