BALLYFOYLE Agricultural Show, Co Kilkenny, is gearing up for another fantastic day on Sunday, June 30th. A jam-packed schedule of activities with attractions for all ages is planned. This charity show is delighted to donate all proceeds to The Carlow/Kilkenny Homecare Team and other local charities.

The show jumping arenas will run classes for both ponies and horses, with very generous prize pots on offer. A prize fund of €500 is up for grabs in the 148cm 1.10m class. The horse 1.10m class will have a prize fund of €1,500, while the horse 1.20m class will offer €1,200.

A fantastic addition this year will be the 1.35m Grand Prix, competing for a prize fund of €3,000. Entries are now open via sjilive.

The showing field will again run five rings catering for ponies (IPS), horses, working hunter and young stock classes. Included this year are three RDS qualifiers - The Intermediate Side Saddle, The Ladies Side Saddle and The Racehorse To Riding Horse. This is a pre-entry only event, with entries closing Monday, June 24th, at midnight.

An exciting new feature for 2024 will be sheep classes, with competitions for pedigree Suffolk, Texel and Charollais. There will also be a mixed breed and commercial section with Young Handlers U12, factory and butcher lamb classes. Full schedule and entry available on www.itsplainsailing.com/bas

In addition to the main events, attendees can look forward to a wide array of craft competitions and exhibits throughout the day, with both indoor and outdoor trade stands showcasing artisan foods and local businesses. Not to be missed is the hugely popular fun dog show, with numerous classes to suit all canine lovers. Included again this year is the All-Ireland Gun Dog Championship qualifier. Entries on the day.
