DERMOTT Lennon won the open four-star class at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera last Thursday, while Tom Wachman landed two victories at the venue.

Riding Zoe Harvey’s 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse MJM Pursuit (by Aldato) in the 1.50m one-round speed class, Lennon saw of 109 competitions, 47 of whom went clear, to secure victory in a time of 58.74 seconds, ahead of USA’s Julie Welles and Ambra (0/ 59.83). “I am very happy with the way the mare is jumping,” Lennon commented afterwards.
