SLIGO’S Darragh Kerins and Lissino (Guardus Llmbus x San Patrignano Cassini) had a great day on Saturday, finishing second in the $182,000 CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix at the World Equestrian Center Summer 3 show at Ocala, Florida. The pair jumped double clear with a jump-off time of 38.23 seconds.

Only five of the 22 starters jumped clear first time out, with two of those faulting in the second round. American rider Aaron Vale won the class with Gray’s Inn, stopping the clock in 36.32 to take the lion’s share of the prize fund, but Kerins took home $36,400 for his efforts.

Friday’s $31,500 CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix qualifier saw Kerry’s Dylan Daly ride Cinderella Z into second place, jumping double clear with a jump-off time of 38.48, a time only being bettered by class winner, Britain’s Amanda Derbyshire on Cornwall BH (38.00).
