AT the two-star show at the Equieffe Equestrian Centre in Gorla Minore, Italy, Friday’s 1.10m class was won by Ireland’s Olivia Ann Nell on the nine-year-old Pepita De Muze. It was a small class of just eight starters, but Nell’s time of 36.76 was almost two seconds ahead of her nearest rival, Mike Crotta (SUI) on Debut (38.71) at the finish, while the final podium spot went to Australia’s Simone Pearce on Calico Z.

The day’s 1.25m class saw Sean Ruth place seventh with the nine-year-old Cornetto DB Z from 15 starters, when they incurred three time-penalties to finish in 90.09. The winning time of 66.57 being clocked by Clara Fourneron (FRA) on Icone D.S.

Nell and Pepita De Muze also won Saturday’s 1.10m class with a clear round in 67.85 and the pair went on to place seventh in Sunday’s 1.15m Two-phase class, with an unfortunate four faults in phase two.
