THE 1.20m final for horses six years old and under, was won by Max Foley and the Hughes Bravo-owned and bred HHS Las Vegas. By Luidam out of a Dondoctro mare, the six-year-old mare was ridden to the win in a very fast time of 28.48.

Sven Hadley took the runner-up spot aboard Maximum Numero Too HSH (Aganix du Seigneur x Numero Uno), owned by the rider and bred by Eamon McArdle, the pair produced a jump-off time of 30.19.

Third went to David Splaine and the GBBS-bred BP Two (Jorado x Laughtons Flight), owned by Con O’Sullivan, they stopped the clock at 31.46.

Tomas Fahy rode Mike Dwyer’s home-bred mare Kinsella (Tyson x Ard VDL Douglas) into fourth place, while Bill Maguire and Fergal Hennessy’s home-bred stallion, Fados Starry Night (Van Gogh x Laughtons Flight) took fifth.

Ciara O’Regan’s Quidam Ollie (Quidam Junior x Z Wellie 72), bred by Sean Delaney, was ridden into sixth by Patrick Joyce.

Older horses

The 1.20m Final for horses over seven years was an international affair, with four nations represented in the top-six.

Denmark’s Matilde Kjaergaard took the win aboard Sandra Duffy’s gelding Donohue Doctor George in a jump-off time of 25.89.

Ireland’s Morgan Carty rode Matt Gordon’s Sirius Rogue (Sligo Candy Boy x Cut the Mustard) into second place in 27.96.

Briton Annabel Shields and Hadley Sport Horses’ Royal Emerald QC (Emerald x Inshallah de Muze), bred by Patrick D’Eer, slotted into third in 28.03. Emma Jackson partnered her own stallion Kylestone Casall (Connor x Quidam De Revel) into fourth in just a slightly slower time of 28.04.

Fifth went to Australia’s Jake Hunter and Sandra Duffy’s Loigi Van Kerselare (Lionel van Equinta x Flipper d’Elle). Sven Hadley with the Suma Stud-bred stallion Sumas Taloubet (Taloubet VDL x Pride Of Shaunlara), owned by Jarlath Fahy, finished in sixth place.
