THE AIRC South East Region’s Autumn show jumping league continued in Wexford Equestrian on Sunday, hosted by Carne Riding Club.

Despite an awful forecast, the weather held up for most of the day with only a few competitors getting a thorough soaking. With 63 rounds of jumping completed over 10 classes, there was some fantastic jumping for the spectators to take in on the day.

The RC70 Class was won by Louise Ryan with Clashwilliam Clover, and the RC70 Open class was won by Sonya Sinanan Villar with Colours of Kilkenny.

THE RC80 Class was won by the host clubs Máire Ní Dhiomsaigh with her own Ballycullane Sandy, while the RC80 Open class was won by Maire Brophy with Mount Bolton Ted.

The RC90 class was again won by a member from Carne riding club, Joy Ffrench with Lily’s Rose. The RC90 Open was won by Edwina O’Connor with Ashwood Reggie.

The Young Horse class was won by David Ryan with Lawnview Diamond.

The RC100 class was Edwina O’Connor’s second win of the day with Ashwood Reggie, and the RC100 class was won by Martine Nolan and Quite Content.

The RC110 class was the last of the day, and it was a first and second for Jennifer Ffrench with Newtown Dude and Camaro, and third place going to Horetown’s Abigail Kent with Majority Reign.

To round up the day, the host club drew the winners of the fantastic raffle - prizes which were donated by a number of local businesses, friends and members of the club. The raffle was in aid of the WSPCA, and a grand total of €1,256 being donated from proceeds from the raffle tickets, and proceeds from the day’s jumping.
