ECKLANDS Helado ridden by Katie Nallon and owned by Sandra Duffy won Saturday’s 1.30m speed, breaking the finish beams in 53.93.

By Cobra out of Annaghmore Charisma by HHS BR Charlton, the mare is nine years old and was bred by Eckland Sport Horses.

CSF Rio and Jonathan Smyth were second in 61.73, while Kenneth Graham riding Regula Wassmer’s KEC Dorian (KEC Maximum Joe x Aldatus), bred by William Kennedy, was third as the fastest four-faulter.

Fourth went to Nallon aboard her other mount, Claire’s Delight (OBOS Quality 004 x Clover Hill), while fifth was Megan McGettigan riding Regula Wassmer’s Tullabeg Jackson (Dignified Van’t Zorgvliet x Olympic Lux), bred by Nicholas Cousins.

The sixth and final place went to Ann Doherty’s Crystal Graf with Jonathan Smyth in the saddle.

Two-phase

Kenneth Graham and Beir Bua (Lancelot x Cruising) won Friday night’s 1.30m two-phase class proving best of the starting field of 14.

Graham and his 13-year-old mare posted a second round time of 31.16 to secure the top-spot.

Runner-up went to JP McGranaghan and his own KEC Harrison (OBOS Quality 004 x Aldatus Z), bred by Anna Kennedy, they posted a time of 32.95.

Liam McCloskey’s seven-year-old Coolturk Prestige (Bentley Van De Heffinck x Lux Z) with Shane McCloskey in the saddle were third, while Tyrone Flangan riding Ruairi Holmes’ Belgian-bred gelding Paquito V’T Merelsnest Z took fourth.

Peter Smyth and Robin Bingham’s eight-year-old Drumiller Detroit (Plot Blue x Cruising), bred by Paul Dillon were fifth, while sixth went to Kevin Mackey with Gerard McMullan’s French-bred Val De Mazeroy.

Twice as nice

Jonathan Smyth earned the top two spots in Sunday afternoon’s 1.30m championship, taking first place aboard Richard Smyth’s home-bred Mulvin Cliodam (Luidam x HHS BR Charlton), stopping the clock in a time of 39.43 to take the win.

Smyth then went on to partner Richard Smyth and Sylvia Craig’s seven-year-old CSF Rio (Quintero La Silla x Ards Vivendi), bred by Patrick Connolly, into second place as the fastest four-faulter.

Katie Nallon was third riding Ann Igoe’s seven-year-old Claire’s Delight.

Fourth were Olivia Roulston and Aisling Doherty’s Sydney PMD (Quidam Junior x Cumano), bred by Patrick O’Dea, while fifth was Tyrone Flangan and Ruairi Holmes’ Paquito V’T Merelsnest Z. Smyth was sixth with his third mount, Noletta Smyth and Roy Craig’s Mr Kannan Ball (Kannan x Beach Ball).
